Blackhawks defeat Prairie Grove

— The fourth-grade Blackhawks kicked off the 2010 season at Prairie Grove Sept. 11. The offense put 14 points on the board at the first away game, thanks to the outstanding offensive line led by Dalton Nesbitt, Nathan Wood, Jonathan Adams, Cooper Ferguson and the middle man Mason McAllister.

Running backs had over 173 yards by Blake Bevill, Jaylen Montez, Tyler Anderson, Trevon McDonaldand quarterback Carson Rhine, who also completed one of two passes to Grant Sanders for 10 yards.

The fourth-grade defense was fired up to play its first game of the season. They held Prairie Grove from getting to the end zone. The defensive line is Arnoldo Rascon, Clayton Bass, Ryan Rogers, Michael Martin, Brody Weber, Mason Harwell, Brayden Hignite, Zach Law, Justin Koon, Alex Wilkerson, James Patton, Shaed Cates, Starla Benton, Garret Brooks, Dominic Bott, Trey Anderson and Braidyn Phillips.

Coaches Daniel Nesbitt, Jeremy Anderson, Scott Weber and William Koon said they were very pleased with the fourthgrade Blackhawks!

Pea Ridge fourth-grade Blackhawks played on their home field Saturday, Sept. 18, against the Lincoln Wolves with the winning score of 20 to 6.

The next game is at 11 a.m.

Sept. 25 against Shiloh Christian.
