Thomas A. Bennett

Thomas A. Bennett, 82, of Pea Ridge, died Thursday, Aug. 26, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was born April 23, 1928, in Lexington, Miss., to Frank Bennett and Mary LaBlanche Bennett.

He was a veteran of W.W.II, serving in the Marines as an airplane mechanic. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Rogers, the Gideons, the Lions Club and was a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Bennett, ofthe home; two daughters, Karon Smith and her husband, Tim, of Pauls Valley, Okla., and Sandra Bennett of Fayetteville; one sister, Mildred Kelly of Hilton Head, S.C.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Service was at 10 a.m.

Saturday, Aug. 28, at the funeral home, with brother Loy Counts officiating.

Burial was at Pea Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale AR 72762.

Kathy D. Royal

Kathy ‘Christie’ D. Royal , 57 of Marianna, Fla., died Wednesday,Aug. 25. She was born June 27, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of Kenneth and MonaChristie.

She was a very talented artist and had her own sign painting business. Royal loved animals from dogs to horses. Her greatest accomplishments were her two homes she built with her own two hands. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her mother, Mona Christie of Springfield, Mo.; father and step-mother, Kenneth and Rose Marie Christie; a sister, Debbie Weatherly; ason, Toby L. Royal and his wife, Danielle, of Florida;

uncles and aunts, Keith and Ola Christie and Doyle and Marcella Blackburn, all of Springfield; one grandchild; and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 3, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Tuck’s Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge.
