GARFIELD — This week I interviewed Mrs. Toni Carter, our recess and lunch teacher. Mrs. Toni’s favorite thing about working at Garfield School is being with the kids. She thinks we’re awesome!
This is her first year working as a recess and lunch teacher. For the past 17 years, she has worked in the classrooms.
Here are some interesting facts about Mrs. Toni’s family: She and her husband, Steve, keep bees in their backyard. Steve is an avid dirt track racer. Mrs.
Toni’s dog is a therapy dog.
He helps people get well.
Her son, Travis, is a skateboarder and her daughter, Georgia, is in college at the University of St. Thomas.
If Mrs. Toni had a wish for our school, it would be to have a bigger playground with tree houses and bike trails. I wish that too! Great job, Mrs. Toni!
