Garfield Elementary principal highlighted

— GARFIELD - This week, Mrs. Anita Turner, school principal, was interviewed.

She went to college at the University of Arkansas. Mrs. Turner was a member of the Razorback marching band.

She taught music at Garfield Elementary from 1992-1997. Her husband, Rusty, is a newspaper editor. Mrs. Turner has two sons. Stephen is attending Wichita State University and Matt is a ninth grader at Rogers High School.

Her favorite part about being a principal is spending time with the students.

Mrs. Turner loves being at Garfield School because of the great students, outstanding teachers and terrific support from the parents and community. She is very proud of the history of Garfield School!

I think she is a fantastic principal!
