PROJECT WE CARE

— The Benton County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the public of “Project We Care.” The project was implemented by the Sheriff’s Office in 2007 in an effort to assist seniors and those with disabilities or health problems. Every morning the sheriff’s office uses its automatic dialing system to call program participants in Benton County to check on their well-being. If the daily call is not answered, or the phone line remains busy after two attempts, a deputy will immediately respond to determine if there are any problems. The program is free of charge and open to all citizens of Benton County.

For any questions or to sign up and participate, call Captain Hunter Petray at the Benton County Sheriff’s Office at 271-1008, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
