THE TIMES LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Family grateful

Words cannot express how much we appreciate the many ways you have expressed your love to our family through your kind words, visits, food, cards and most importantly the many prayers you have said for our family. Thank you for your continued love and prayers.

The Truth Project

Pleasant Hill Baptists Church, on Old Wire Road between Rogers and Avoca, plans to study The Truth Project on Wednesday evenings. The first lesson on May 12 is: What is Truth and Why was Jesus Born.

If there are enough participants, we will divide into smaller groups on other nights.

Dr. Dell Tackett says, “We are in a battle for truth. The consequences of following the lies of this world are wreaking havoc upon God’s people and our culture.” Focus on the Family has made a high-stakes commitment to do something about it.

They created a high quality DVD-based, small-group curriculum designed to build a comprehensive, systematic, biblical worldview using key elements from 300 hours of material that Dr. Tackett teaches at Focus on the Family Institute and at New Geneva Theological Seminary.

“The central theme running through The Truth Project is found ultimately in the character and being of God Himself … We need to see the truth from God’s perspective, not ours and be transformed by the renewing of our mind through the Holy Spirit.”

Except for understanding my salvation and my trip to Israel, The Truth Project is the most exciting study I’ve taken. We will repeat the Truth Project in homes throughout the area. If you will organize a group and provide the brownies, we’ll bring the program. To learn more, go to www.thetruthproject.org or call me at 531-1141, evenings or mid-day.
