6:30 p.m. A two-vehicle accident at Lee Town Road and South Davis Street involving Trisha Ray, 17, Pea Ridge, and Felicia Scott, 19, Garfield.

7:31 p.m. Police were called to the area of the ball fields on Weston Street in reference to a subject drinking alcohol in a vehicle. Upon arriving, a vehicle matching the suspect’s vehicle pulled ontoWeston Street heading north. Police initiated a traffic stop at Weston Loop.Tim Lazar, 42, Hiwasse, was arrested for DWI and the passenger, David Hadlock, 27, Pea Ridge, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from West Fork and possession of a counterfeit substance.

Tuesday, April 27

8:05 a.m. A two-vehicle accident in the area of 203 N. Curtis Ave. involving Jessica Beenken, 18, Pea Ridge, and Heather Long, 35, Pea Ridge.There wereno injuries reported nor citations issued.

10 p.m. A physical disturbance at an apartment on Kings Lane involving a 16-year-old male attacking a 12-year-old male.The 16-year-old was arrested and transported to the Benton County Juvenile Detention Center.

Thursday, April 29

1 a.m. A traffic stop on Weston Street near the ball fields resulted in the arrest of Marcus Howard, 25, Springdale, for obstructing governmental operations and warrants from Rogers, Springdale and Lowell;

and Tamara Willoughby, 21, Joplin, Mo., for obstructing governmental operations.

10:30 p.m. A resident on North Arkansas Highway 94 reported a theft involving assorted CDs, a Playstation 3 and PSP3 controllers.The incident is under investigation.

Friday, April 30

8:50 p.m. A traffic stop on North Curtis Avenue near Subway resulted in the arrest of Rick Lawson, 37, Rogers, for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant from Rogers.

ARKANSAS STATE POLICE

A Benton County woman was killed in a one-vehicle wreck south of Eureka Springs.

A 2005 Honda Element driven by Gene F.W. Bell, 21, of Rogers was traveling southbound on Arkansas Highway 23 two miles south of Eureka Springs around 6 p.m. Friday, April 30, when it traveled off theroadway, overturned and struck a tree before coming to rest.

One passenger, Karen D. Robinson, 47, of 3388 W. Hwy. 127 in Rogers, was killed, according to the state police report.

The driver and two other passengers were injured and transported to Mercy Medical Center.

Incidents reported to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office recently include: Wednesday, April 21

A trailer was reported stolen from the John Johnson residence off North Old Wire Road and Bill Billings Road.

According to BCSO Investigator Audrey Thompson, the chain on a gate was cut to gain access to the trailer.The trailer was loaded with trusses.

Some of the trusses were recovered the following day on Ventris Road in Garfield.The incident is under investigation.
