— Benefiting the community and local graduating seniors, members of the Pea Ridge Women’s Business Association are hosting a community-wide sale Saturday, June 12, in the parking lot of Pea Ridge High School. Proceeds from booth rentals will benefitthe Pea Ridge Scholarship Foundation.

“I want to let everyone know about a fundraising idea - a community yard sale. We have named it ‘Battle for Bargains.’

“We will rent 18-feet by 18-feet spaces for $25 a piece,” Lori Rogers, WBApresident, said, explaining that booth rental proceeds will be given to the scholarship fund. The space allotted is basically two parking spots.

Proceeds from the chili supper were also given tothe scholarship fund.

“Spots are open to individuals, churches and clubs,” Rogers said, adding that furniture, appliances, crafts, garage sale items and much more may be featured at the sale.

“Renting a booth will give sellers more exposure and free advertising,” Rogers said.

For buyers, it’s “one-stop shopping” where they can park and walk around to many sales instead of driving from neighborhood to neighborhood.

The sale is set for 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 12, with June 26 as an alternative date in case of rain.
