PEA RIDGE — Everyone should eat lunch in the elementary school cafeteria at least once. It’s an event to be remembered! I like the noise, the smells, watching the movements of that many children and the admiration I have for the lunch room workers and cooks. The food is quite good also. I’ve never eaten a bad meal there. I’ll be sorry when the last grandchild gets too old to enjoy having Grandma come eat lunch with him.
Talking about grandsons, yes, that one that was home on leave did put his feet under Grandma’s table! Thanks for asking!
Broken leg healing nicely!
After dragging through a dreary winter, things are bursting into bloom and activities rushing in.
Brightwater Methodist Church will host an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 3.
So many names on our prayer list, we missed Jay Lynch Sunday, as he wasn’t feeling very well, but it was so good to have Lois Kinney able to be withus last time. I missed getting to see Jack and Judy Shaible, but I’m told that they suffered only minor earthquake damage at their mission school. They are in our prayers and also Charlotte Jones, who’s having treatments in Texas, Dorothy Williams who had hip surgery and also Henry Schroeder. Daryl Reynold’s brother passed away and that caused me to bring back pleasant memories of their sister Ruby Bailey.
Brightwater and Pea Ridge will be having a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m.
Sunday, April 4, at Buttram Chapel Cemetery, with breakfast following hostedby the Pea Ridge Church.
In case of rain, the service will be held at Pea Ridge.
So much going on, but when I spotted a parking place close to the grocery door, I thought how ironic that I’m on my way to exercise class at the Wellness Center and then will walk several laps and here I am trying to save a few steps.
I guess it’s called human nature.
