— What is your job title? Junior girls basketball, volleyball and track coach.

What does all that entail? A full year - season to season, first volleyball, then basketball, then track. I’m busy but I love what I do, it’s worth it.

Where are you from? Olive Branch, Miss.

Where did you go to college and what is your degree in? Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Miss. I have a masters in health and a bachelors in physical education.

What was your first job ever? A waitress at an Italian restaurant.

What was your first job out of college? Assistant basketball coach at Mississippi University for Women.

Did you play sports in high school or college? In high school I played basketball and softball, then I played basketball in college.

What are your hobbies outside of work? Golfing and riding my Harley Davidson.

How long have you been teaching in Pea Ridge? This is my third year.

What do you see happening with your sports over the next few years? I think it will be good, we have good young kids, eighth graders and seventh graders for volleyball and basketball both. Last year was the first year for volleyball, we competed OK, beat a couple teams. This year we will be able to compete a little better.

What is the most challenging thing about coaching kids this age? Getting them to see they have to work hard everyday to be better in the future. They don’t look ahead, don’t know how to commit to a long term goal.

If you could meet anyone famous, who would it be? Brett Favre.
