Historical Pea Ridge ... A FRAGMENT OF AREA HISTORY

— Confederate Brigadier General Alexander Asboth, commander, 2nd division, was born in Kezthely, Hungary, in 1811. He emigrated to the United States in 1851. He was in charge of the troops and trains at the Little Sugar Creek position and was wounded in the arm while bringing reinforcements forward to support Carr at the end of he first day’s fight.

Asboth Street in Pea Ridge runs north and south from Van Dorn Street to Patton Street and south in Windmill Estates to Lynn Drive.
