Family home destroyed

— Alan and Sandy Fletcher, daughter Brittany, 10, and the family dog left to enjoy a spring break vacation in Branson. They came home to total devastation.

“Our neighbor called around midnight (Friday, March 19) and said the house was on fire, he heard the propane tank (on the grill) explode. We talked to the fire marshal, he said it burned so hot so fast they wouldn’t know how it started. We lost absolutely everything,” Sandy said.

The Fletchers live in the Posy Mountain area. They have yet tobegin sifting through the remains of the fire, but so far nothing has been salvageable.

Conrad and Janine Dove of the Posy Mountain Inn let the family stay in a cabin the past week.

They plan to stay on their land in a camper trailer until school gets out in May, in an attempt to avoid further turmoil.

A donation fund has been set up for the family at the Arvest Bank of Pea Ridge. People wishing to donate, may do so at any Arvest location. The account is listed as the Sandra and Alan Fletcher Fire Fund.
