TREES PLANTED IN PARK

— Pea Ridge Parks Commission purchased three trees to plant in both City Park and the park in Givens Subdivision.

The trees were purchased from Roller Nursery in Seligman, Mo.

The 15-year-old red maples will grow to approximately 60 feet and were provided to the city at a discounted rate of $50 per tree.

City employees planted the trees last week.

“We do have plans to put another one out at Givens,” Nathan See said. “We’re going to wait till we get it built a little better.”

The Parks Commission is considering a new playground and pavilion for that park, but not until the bathroom project at City Park is completed.
