REMEMBERING THE ’80S BLACKHAWK REUNION

Wednesday, March 24, 2010

— Remembering the ’80s Blackhawk Reunion will begin at 5:30 p.m. Saturday May 8. A catered dinner will be served in the Intermediate School cafeteria. Immediately following the dinner, participants are invited to gather in the old gym for an evening of memories and laughter.

From the ’80s music to the ’80s movies, we will remember it all. A special invitation goes out to the graduating classes of 1980-1990 to attend this event, although all are welcome.

Everyone is encouraged to dig out old photographs and copy those special ones you want to share. You know the ones - the really embarrassing ones of someone else. Put your photos in an album, collage or mount to posterboard to display them. The gym will be open by 5 p.m. so photos can be dropped off.

There will be ’80s music playing all evening We will have a photographer throughout the night, photos will be available for purchase online so you can order your favorites. Pass the information about the reunion on to any former graduates. There is a group on Facebook, but word of mouth and e-mail should help reach everyone.

Parents, teachers and graduates from other classes are welcome as well.

Admission is $20 per person. Please RSVP with your money to Sherri Dean at 18350 Marshall St., Garfield, AR 72732, by April 17. This will help achieve an accurate head count for the meal.

If you choose to pay at the door, the charge will be $25 per person.
