White apprehended

— Police officers patrolling in the McRae Lane area of town shortly before 6a.m. Friday arrested Ricky Gene White, 35, of 39 Melanie Drive, Bella Vista. Police in two separate vehicles wereon patrol in the area due to recent vandalism when they each noticed a silver pickup truck sitting in front of a residence. The first officer saw a person in the vehicle. The second officer saw the subject attempting to hide.

The driver of the vehicle, later identified asWhite, was getting out of the truck when the second officer pulled in to investigate. After an investigation, White was arrested for for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia in the course or furtherance of a felony drug violation and criminal use of a prohibited weapon.

After White was taken to the Benton County Jail, he was identified as the suspect in a theft of property in connection with fraudulently charging for items worth about $300 on three different occasions in February at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts.

On Tuesday, White remained in the Benton in the Benton County Jail on a $50,000 bond and charges from BCSO: drinking on highway; driving while license cancelled, suspended or revoked; failure to register; fictitious tags; fleeing by vehicle causing serious physical injury; no proof of insurance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In February, deputy sheriffs in McDonald County, Mo., arrested White on five felonies and two misdemeanors after a pursuit through Benton County, Ark., and Barry and Mc-Donald counties in Missouri. A pre-trial hearing on those charges is set for March 29 in McDonald County.
