Monday, March 1

2:45 p.m.Vandalism involving damage to a sign of Battlefield Estates.

6 p.m. A citizen went to the police station asking for a police escort to her trailer on McRae Lane to pick up items because of a recent vandalism to the home.

Wednesday, March 3

8:30 a.m. A burglary was reported by a resident of Hayes Street in which several unidentified prescriptions were taken.

Friday, March 5

3:30 p.m. A individual went to City Hall to turn himself in for a warrant and was subsequently arrested.William Stark, 48, of Bentonville, was served the warrant and arrested for public intoxication.

5 p.m. A resident on Lee Town Drive reported fraud involving a caller requesting money to be sent overseas.The incident is under investigation.

9:30 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop on Hayes Street near Harrison Street, arrested Herbert Ross, 26, Bentonville, for driving on a suspended driver’s license, suspendedfor DWI.

Saturday, March 6

12:29 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop on Arkansas Highway 94 South and Sugar Creek, arrested Mary Whittle, 30, Pea Ridge, on a outstanding Benton County Sheriff’s Office warrant.

7:10 a.m. Unattended death of a 74-year-old white male at a residence on Van Dorn Street.

Sunday, March 7

2:54 a.m. Unattended death of a 63-yearold white male at a residence on Turner Way.

8 a.m. Received a call from a citizen on Hazelton Road wanting to retrieve his dogs from his ex-wife. After the investigation, Edward Morris, 54, Pea Ridge, was arrested for harassing communications.

9 .m. Report from an individual at the police station of the man’s 12-year-old daughter being assaulted by his ex-wife, the mother of the girl, after he dropped her off for visitation. No charges have been filed at this time.

Monday, March 8

12:56 a.m. After making contact with a subject for suspicious activity at EZ Mart and searching her vehicle with permission, arrested Angela Randolph, 37, of Siloam Springs for possession of drug paraphernalia and parole violation.

BENTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICESEX OFFENDER CAPTURED

A level-4 sex offender who escaped from the custody of McDonald County, Mo., authorities March 2 is in the BentonCounty Jail.

Richard Lawrence Rogers, wanted on two Benton County warrants, was captured March 3. Rogers was being held Tuesdayin the Benton County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Rogers told McDonald County authorities he had health issues, was taken to a hospital in Neosho, Mo., and later walked out of the hospital.

The U.S. Marshal Sex Offender Task Force arrested Rogers as he was coming out of a casino near Tulsa, Okla.

Rogers’ girlfriend, Diane Thompson, was arrested in connection with helping him escape.

McDonald County authorities believe Thompson dropped off Rogers with his daughter, who lives in Tulsa.

Rogers has an outstanding Benton County warrant for sexual indecency with a child and failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements.

According toWes Bryant, an investigator with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, Rogers moved to the area from Illinois with criminal convictions of sex charges against children in ages ranging from 8 to 13 years old.

RAPE INVESTIGATION

GARFIELD - On Feb. 27 at 7:53 p.m., the Benton County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Gann Ridge Road in Garfield in reference to a rape of a 75-year-old female.

She was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. After being released from the hospital, the victim went to the Sexual Assault Recovery and Prevention Agency, where she was examined and released.

A suspect has been developed; the case is still under investigation.

OTHER INCIDENTS INCLUDE:

◊Dalton Shad Church, 32, of 584 King Lane in Pea Ridge, was arrested Monday in connection with possession of drug paraphernalia in the course or furtherance of a felony drug violation. Church was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

◊Justin Lee Waldron, 21, of 12540 Mike Scott Road in Garfield, was arrested in connection with felony second-degree sexual assault.Waldron was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

◊Lacey Joann Frazier, 23, of 309 Smith St. in Pea Ridge, was arrested in connection with felony fraudulent use of a credit or debit card and misdemeanor theft of property. Frazier was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

PINEVILLE, Mo. - Two teen-aged boys were involved in a fatal accident shortly before midnight Saturday, March 6.

Camron L. Bridges, 17, of Pineville, Mo., was pronounced dead at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, Mo.

Michael Dutton, 17, Pineville, was listed in serious condition at Freeman.

According to the police report, the westbound 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Dutton struck the 1988 Kawasaki four-wheeler driven by Bridges head on along Bear Hollow Road, three miles southeast of Jane, Mo.

Dutton was tested for alcohol in accordance with Missouri law. Both vehicles were totaled.
