NORTHWEST ARKANSAS — Chili supper and pie auction
The Pea Ridge Women’s Business Association will hold a chili supper and pie auction from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Pea Ridge High School.
Proceeds go toward Pea Ridge community scholarships. Dinner - chili with fixin’s and a drink - is $5 for adults and $3 for children, 12 and under.
Whole pies are auctioned after dinner. Special entertainment will be provided by Journey On. To donate pies for the auction or for more information,contact Lori Rogers at 451-0488. Battle of Pea Ridge anniversary
The 148th anniversary of the Battle of Pea Ridge will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Pea Ridge National Military Park. Park entry fee will apply.
Pea Ridge National Military Park preserves the site of and commemorates the March 1862 Civil War battle that helped Union forces gain control of Missouri. The park is located east of Pea Ridge on U.S. Highway 62.
Monthly singing set
BUNKER HILL, Mo.
- There’s a time change for the winter monthly singings at Bunker Hill. We will be meeting at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 6, in the new community building next to the old school house.
It will be warmer and more convenient during the winter months. A regular group of musicians will come to perform a variety of music. Anyone in the audience can also participate in the singing or bring along an instrument to play.
Bring a potluck dessert, finger foods or a big pot of chili or soup for all to enjoy. There’s always coffee, tea and sodas to drink. Just bring your favorite things to share with others in attendance and come on over for a fun night of entertainment.
There is no charge, but donations are accepted to help defray the costs of electricity and heat.
The Bunker Hill Community Club is busy quilting for ladies in the area, working on items for the next quilt show in May, and planning our next lunch on the square which will be March 29. Anyone interested is invited to join at the community center to quilt or do other handwork or just to visit each Thursday of the month starting at 10 a.m.
Bunker Hill Community building is five miles north of Pineville, Mo., on Missouri Highway W or five miles east of Anderson on Missouri Highway 76 then south on Hwy. W.

SELIGMAN, Mo. - Seligman Community dance will be Thursday, March 4, 7 p.m.
at the Seligman community building. Live band will be Frosty Garland and the Road Hogs. Adults $3 each, teens are free. Snacks are optional. No smoking or alcohol allowed.
