BENTON COUNTY — Richard Lawrence Rogers (white male, 57), a level four sex offender, was arrested in McDonald County, Mo., Friday, Feb.

26, by the U.S. Marshall Sex Offender Task Force on an outstandingBenton County Sheriff’s warrant for sexual indecency with a child, a felony, and failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements, also a felony.

When he was arrested, Rogers was using the alias of Lee Campbell.

After his arrest, he was taken to the McDonald County Jail for an extradition hearing. While at the jail, he experience medical problems and was transported to the nearest hospital in Newton County.

On March 2, BCSO received information from McDonald County that Rogers left the hospital and had absconded.
