BENTON COUNTY — The Benton County Sheriff’s deputies and DWI Task Force will be participating in a national campaign against drunken driving, Benton County Sheriff Keith Ferguson said.

The Sheriff ’s Office deputies will be a part ofthe “Over the Limit, Under Arrest” campaign again this year over the July 4 holiday.

Officers will set up checkpoints and extra patrols in problem areas, such as around Beaver Lake, from July 1 - 5.

The focus this year willbe on underage drinking due to students being on summer break, a press release from the sheriff ’s office said.

However, anyone caught drinking and driving will be arrested, the release added.
