David Glen Arnold

David Glen Arnold, 58, of Tahlequah, Okla., formerly of Bentonville, died June 13, 2010. He was born May 20, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas, to Glen and Eula Arnold.

Survivors include six children; his mother; four sisters, Peggy Murray of Gravette, Ellen Reeves of Pea Ridge and Marie Cowgur and Mary Ann Mc-Cracken, both of Bentonville; and a brother, Buddy Arnold of Gravette.

No services are planned at this time.

Cremation arrangements were by Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah.

Scott Douglas Green

Scott Douglas Green, 48, of Pineville, Mo., died June 12, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was born March 12, 1962, to John and Alice Green in La Mesa, Calif.

He was a truck driver for J.B. Hunt and most recently worked for Bekaert. He loved fishing and the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his father, John R.

Green; grandparents, John and Evelyn Gallagher and Joseph and Mable Green.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; his mother, Alice Green of Centerton;

two sisters, Karen Hudson and Debbie Coberly and husband David of Lowell;

and a brother, Mark Green and wife, Glenda, of Avoca; nieces, Michael Ann Bross, Elisha Ott, Nicole Green, and Sarah Hudson; and three great-nieces, Bailey, Sydney and Alexia.

A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice.

William Francis “Sam” “Bill” Rhame, Jr.

William Francis “Sam” “Bill” Rhame, Jr., 67, of Pea Ridge, died Saturday, June19, at his summer home in South Haven, Mich. He was born Aug.

9, 1942, in Nashville, Tenn., toWilliam Francis Rhame and Margaret Jessamine Goldsmith Rhame.

He was a retired Army Lt. Colonel serving as a military intelligence officer during the Viet Nam War.

He received a Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (1st OLC) Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3rd OLC), Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal,Vietnam Service Medal w/4 Campaign Stars, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (3), Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Staff Identification Badge, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal 2nd OLC.

He was a member of the Bentonville Masonic Lodge No. 56 and York Rite Chapter No. 15 Council No. 79 Rogers No. 24, past High Priest of Royal Arch Masons Chapter No. 15, past Commander of Rogers Commandry of Knights Templar No. 24, Council of Royal and Select Masters of Bentonville No. 79, Bavaria Lodge No. 935 in Munich, Germany, Kena Shrine Temple, York Rite Order in Alexandria, Virginia; Noon Kiwanis in Rogers; VFW Post No. 9063 of Bella Vista; Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels Service Organization; Retired Officers Association; Eagle Scout Association; Officers Christian Fellowship; National Counter Intelligence Corps Association; associate member of Peace Lutheran Church in South Haven, Michigan ; and a member of First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed music, playing the guitar and singing, was an active school volunteer at Pea Ridge andRogers public schools. Mr.

Rhame conducted devotionals at Souls Harbor for many years. He loved the Lord and was a faithful servant.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Carolyn Rhame of the home; three daughters, Elizabeth Nell and her husband, John, of Bentonville, Virginia Anne Rhame of Rogers and Margaret Lynn “Meg” Rhame of Paducah, Kentucky; one grandchild; a step-mother, Lillie Rhame of Memphis, Tenn.; two step-brothers, Fowler Hollabaugh of Nashville, Tenn, and Bobby Hollabaugh of Memphis, Tenn.;

and one step-sister, Barbara Gustafson of California.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at First Baptist Church and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, before the service.

Funeral is set for 10 a.m.

Wednesday, June 23, at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with pastor Al Fowler and pastor Alan Johnson officiating.

Masonic rites will be held at the end of the church service.

The Patriot Honor Guard escort will escort the funeral procession to the VA National Cemetery in Fayetteville, at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, for interment services. There will be full military honors by Bella Vista VFW Post No. 9063.

Brian M. Smith

Brian M. Smith, 35, died June 10, 2010, in Garfield.

He was born March 5,1975, at the American Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, to Randall Dee Smith and Barbara Flinchbaugh Smith.

He spent his childhood at Fort Benning, Ga.; Pensacola and Merritt Island, Fla. He graduated high school from Christian Light Education in 1993 and attended Brevard Community College in Florida.

He was employed by Kennametal for 13 years in the maintenance department.

He was an avid outdoorsman, spending much of his time hunting and fishing, golfing and four-wheeling.

In the spring, he enjoyedhunting morel mushrooms and he had a great passion for clementines.

He married Kimberly Soloman Smith on Jan. 23, 1996, at Temples Feed and Seed in Sevierville, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Curtis and Elizabeth Flinchbaugh; and his uncle, Keith Martin Flinchbaugh.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Soloman Smith, of the home; stepchildren, Amelia Huskey of Rogers and Logan Huskey of Sevierville, Tenn.;

his parents, Randall Dee Smith and Barbara Smith of Pea Ridge; his brother, Chris Smith and wife, Connie; his aunt, Laura Flinchbaugh, of Scottsmoor, Fla.;

his uncle, Scott Smith, of Ocala, Fla.; three cousins, Lori Kinsey, Tonya Hollowell and Shannon Smith and their children; and many friends, includingPaul Kendrick and Steve Slingsby.

Visitation was from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral services were at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. Fourth St., Rogers, Ark.
