Library offers summer program

The Pea Ridge Community Library has begun the Summer Reading Program which will continue until Thursday, June 24. This year, we are adding a preschool class; any child who will enter kindergarten in the fall is eligible. Other eligible grades include kindergarten through 5th. If you have just finished fifth grade, you are still able to enter the contest. All books read for the contest must come from the Pea Ridge Library. Contest rules and ending party information are available at the library.

Please come and join us; we always have a lot of fun.

The party to celebrate the contest entrants will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 26. There will be pizza and watermelon. All entrants will receive a treat bag and winners receive prizes.

Garfield School reunion set

GARFIELD - The eighth Garfield School reunion is set for June 25-26. From 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 25, a casual gathering will be held in the Garfield Elementary Gym, with snacks provided. Beginning at 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, June 26, the group will meet for a luncheon at the NEBCO Community Room in Garfield.

Reservations will be confirmed by sending by an RSVP, accompanied by $15 for each person attending.

Please confirm by Tuesday, June 1, to ensure an accurate head count. Make checks payable to Garfield School Reunion and mail to Dorothy Williams, 13451 Ventris Rd., Garfield, AR 72732.

Participants are asked to bring old photos and annuals for the memorabilia table to share memories.

Race of Faith challenges cowboys

A Race of Faith Cowboy Challenge benefiting Special Olympics is set for July 24-25 on the McKinney farm, 1735 Clark St., Pea Ridge.
