Community Picnic

AVOCA - The Avoca community picnic will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the town park. There will be all-you-can-eat chicken for $6 and a silent auction.

Garfield School Reunion planned

GARFIELD - The eighth Garfield School reunion is set for June 25-26. From 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 25, a casual gathering will be held in the Garfield Elementary Gym, with snacks provided. Beginning at 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, June 26, the group will meet for a luncheon at the NEBCO Community Room in Garfield.

Participants are asked to bring old photos and annuals for the memorabiliatable to share memories.

Summer Food Program

BENTONVILLE - Bentonville Public Schools will have a summer program at Mary Mae Jones Elementary School where anyone 18 or younger can eat breakfast and lunch for free.

Serving times begin at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast and 10:30 a.m. for lunch. The program will start Monday, June 14, and run throughJuly 30.
