Apologist featured June 26-27

— Kyle Butt, editor of Discovery magazine, will speak at three special services the weekend of June 26-27.

“God Exists” is the topic of the Saturday evening session by Butt, with Apologetics Press. The meeting, open to the public, is set for 7 p.m. Saturday, June 26, in the Pea Ridge Middle School gym.

“Does the Bible Lie?” will be the topic at the 10 a.m.

Sunday service and “The Bible is God’s Word” willbe at 11 a.m. Sunday. Both meetings will be at the Church of Christ building, 932 N. Curtis Ave.

Butt has worked at Apologetics Press in Montgomery, Ala., for the past 10 years.

He graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with a bachelor’s degree in Bible and Communications and a master’s degree in New Testament studies. He is the author or co-author of 20 books dealing with topics such as the existence of God, the inspiration of the Bible, the historicity of Jesus Christ and the creation/ evolution controversy. He is the editor of the Discovery magazine, a monthly periodical about Scripture and science for children and the associate editor of Reason & Revelation, a monthly journal of Christian evidences.

Butt and his wife, Bethany, have bee married for 10 years and have three children.
