Mary Eliazabeth Bigham Ash

Mary Eliazabeth Bigham Ash, 68, of Rogers, died Wednesday, June 2, at Innisfree Nursing Center in Rogers. She was born Oct. 2, 1941, in Cero Gordo, Okla., to Johnny Joseph Bigham and Annie Laverne Smith Bigham.

She retired from Pel-Freeze after 27 years. She loved to fish, listen to the birds sing and work crossword puzzles, but most of all she loved her job. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Rogers.

Ash was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Bigham.

Survivors include three sons, Jackie Daniels of Pineville, Mo., Scottie Daniels and Jammie Daniels, both of Rogers; one daughter, Danette Johnson of Seligman, Mo.; one brother, Randy Bigham and wife Carol of Rogers; six sisters, Bernice Drymon, Shirley Dalbey, Clara Gibbs and Sharon Severs, all of Rogers, Loretta Griggs and her husband, Junior, of Springdale, and Faye Hufford of Pea Ridge; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. June 6 at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Graveside service was at 10 a.m. Monday, June 7, at Buttram Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge with Jackie Chesnutt officiating.

Guy Junior Brown

Guy Junior Brown, 70, of Rogers, died Sunday, June 6, at his home. He was born June 24, 1939, in Rogers to Christopher Columbus Brown and Nancy Ellen Swadley Brown.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from PLP in Rogers. Brown enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of God’s Lighthouse Church in Bentonville.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Delores Cotton Brown; one son, Lloyd Brown of Rogers; one daughter, Monica Faye Nyberg of Florida; one brother, Walter Brown of Seligman, Mo.; and one sister, Alberta Cannady of Seligman; eight grandchildren, Tanna, Terissa Jo, Roger, Rashele, River, Riya, Rylee and Renna; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at Rollins Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, at Rollins Funeral Home with pastor Leroy Morton officiating.

Burial will follow at Rogers City Cemetery.

Daniel Eddie Hamilton Sr.

Daniel Eddie Hamilton Sr., 71, of Garfield, died Monday, June 7, at Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village in Bentonville. He was born Aug. 26, 1938, in Denver, Colo., to Charles Mattison Hamilton and Juana Burgess Hamilton.

Hamilton moved to the area from Louisiana in 1991 to make his home. He was a forklift operator for Superior in Rogers for 14 years. He enjoyed his dogs and sitting on his deck.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tricia Foster; four brothers, Charles Hamilton, Lewis Hamilton, Raymond Hamilton and Raymond Hamilton II; and two sisters, Rosalie Creel and Cleta Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon, of the home; one daughter, Marletta Dunmire of Smyrna, Tenn.; three sons, Daniel Hamilton Jr. and his wife, Kass, of Erin, Tenn., David Foster of Garfield and Rodney Foster of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Robert Hamilton of Garfield and Gilford Hamilton of Ferriday, La.; two sisters, Bernice Floyd of Vidalia, La., and Juanita Tate of Dyersburg, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation was from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

The funeral is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, at the funeral home with cremation to follow.

Clarence Raymond Latham

Clarence Raymond “Ray” Latham, 81, of Avoca, died Thursday, June 3, in Bentonville. He was born Dec. 20, 1928, in Rock, Kan., to Clarence Ross Latham and Laura Augusta Thurmond Latham.

Latham was the founder of Latham Cabinets. He loved music and spending time with his family. Although he retired in 1992, his legacy lived on through two generations of cabinet builders.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Barbara Jean Latham, in 1996; and daughter, Dell Ann, in 1981.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Latham, of Avoca; children, Steve Latham and his wife, Jody, of Rogers, Sandy Cayce, and the late Neal Cayce, of Bella Vista, Sally Olson and her husband, David, of Rogers, Samantha Davis and her husband, David, of Bentonville, Tamara Hubbard and her husband, David, of Bella Vista, Lisa Weston, of Bentonville, and Wanda Andrew and her husband, Ray, of Terrell, Texas; one brother, Merrill Latham, of Rockport, Texas; two sisters, Loretta Crenshaw, of Sikeston, Mo., and Bernice Wagner of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 6, at Rollins Funeral Home.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 7, at First Christian Church of Rogers.

Ora Adeline Wood

Ora Adeline Wood, 94, of Pea Ridge died May 31 at Bradford House in Bentonville. She was born July 31, 1915, near Seligman, Mo., to Ernest Webb and Jennie Pearl Mitchell Webb.

At a young age, Mrs. Wood moved with her family to the Webb family homestead northeast of Pea Ridge. She attended the University of Arkansas. She married Owen Wood in 1942 and lived northeast of Twelve Corners community for three years where she taught school in a one-room school house at Corinth.

She and Owen then returned to the Webb farm where they spent the rest of their lives together. She was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge where she taught junior girls Sunday school class for many years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and life on the farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband of 52 years.

Survivors include her son, Tim Wood and wife, Sharon, of Pea Ridge; a grandson, Robert Wood and his wife, Jenny, of Pea Ridge; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Rachel and Nathan Wood, all of Pea Ridge; two brothers, Mitchell Webb of Pea Ridge and Olen Webb of Rogers; a sister, Mary Lou Rakes of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There was no visitation.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 3, at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, with pastors Al Fowler and Rick Booyer officiating.

Burial was at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
