’Til Next Time | Nature’s perfume is sweetest of all

Wednesday, June 9, 2010

Driving down the road between two banks of honeysuckle in full bloom, I knew that was nature’s perfume and couldn’t be sweeter. I know that’s why the hummingbird feeders haven’t needed refilling for two days.

After we ran out of shortcakes, we’ve been eating fresh strawberries over angel food cake. That brought the questions of why it’s named that. Then why was devil’s food named that? No, wedon’t always have the most intelligent conversations around our table, but all get to be heard.

Otto Sells and Charlotte Jones both spent time in the hospital last week, and Tim Stanford spent time in anemergency room with dog bites.

Stanley and Dorothy Williams 50th wedding picture was displayed in Brightwater entry way. We still consider them one of ours.

The Rev. Daniels and Rhonda will spend next week at the annual conference. Tim Felder will represent both churches.

There will be an ice cream social at 6:30 p.m. June 13 at the Brightwater Churchhonoring pastor Matt and his family as they leave for a new assignment.

An encouraging quote from the pulpit, “There are so many more things in this world that are right then wrong.”◊◊◊
