The camp runs from 8 a.m. to noon through Friday at Pea Ridge High School, with an awards ceremony at 11 a.m. Friday, featuring a special guest speaker.

“It’s for the kids and it raises a little money for the basketball program,” Pea Ridge coach Charley Clark said.

Clark heads up the camp, along with assistant high school coach Curtis Shannon and middle school coach Kyle Pennington.

Former ’Hawk ball players are also back to help, including Bryce Snow, Alex Kelly, Kip Kelly, Kelly Ward, Katherine Ward, Erin Duvall and Scharla Paryzek. Clark extends the invitation to coach to current players on the high school team as well. This year’s volunteers includeCameron Tidwell, Cameron Thompson, Jacob Hall, Kasey Cooper, Ethan Higgins, Ryan Roughton and Levi Roughton.

“It’s good for the youngerkids and good for the players to get a little coaching under their belts,” Clark said.
