Library Notes | Summer Reading Program has begun

Wednesday, June 9, 2010

— The Pea Ridge Community Library has begun the Summer Reading Program which will continue until Thursday, June 24. Come by anytime to register your child for the contest. This year, we are adding a preschool class; any child who will enter kindergarten in the fall is eligible. Other eligible grades include kindergarten through 5th. If you have just finished fifth grade, you are still able to enter the contest. All books read for the contest must come from the Pea Ridge Library. Contest rules and ending party information are available at the library.

Please come and join us; we always have a lot of fun.

The party to celebrate the contest entrants will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 26. There will be pizza and watermelon. All entrants will receive a treat bag and winners receive prizes.

We are also starting our Storytime Reading on Thursday; this will continue until school starts, with a volunteer reading to the children. Storytime begins at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome.

I apologize for not having a regular column, but we have so many new books;

something for everyone.

Just check any popular book list and check with us; we will have a copy.

Come by and ‘check’ us out!

Library hours are 4 p.m.
