Drama abounds with mystery

— Pea Ridge High School drama students performed “Next Victim, Please” Tuesday, May 18.

The story took place at Murdock Manor, a mansion owned by wealthy Col.

Murdock. Rich and elderly Murdock, played by Caleb Dye, continued to announce his last will and testament throughout the play. The whole arrogant family was present and every greedy one of them wanted a pieceof the action. As each heir was named, someone died.

The heirs were played by Laura Thomas, Jordan Mc-Clellan, Taylor Sherman, Ashley Griffith, Denisse Oliver, Sara Lusk, Autumn Brewer, Hannah Adair, Wesley Woollard and Hunter Terry.

Twists in the plot abounded, complicated by the bumbling Detective Swift, played by Wesley Woollard.

In the last scene, the colonel himself was done away with- by Higgins the butler (who else?) played by Tyler Mooney. But, wait, there was still one other person left alive, the French maid Fifi, played by Julie Schiele. In a final twist, the audience discovered that she was actually an undercover cop and arrested Higgins.

The set was designed by Trilby Gibson, and sound and lights were controlled by Anthony Reed. Sandra Thomas, drama teacher, directed the play.
