Heritage festival to feature stories

— Civil War stories are the theme of the Pea Ridge Military Park Foundation’s fourth annual Battle of Pea Ridge Civil War Heritage Festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at the park.

Area featured presentations along with the festival include “Rally Around the Flag; BattleFlags of Pea Ridge” at 10:30 a.m.

at Rogers Historical Museum and “A Civil War True Story: How General McCulloch’s Death Saved a Life” at 11:30 a.m. at Washington County Historical Society. The festival will feature battlefield tours, Civil War collections, weaving and spinning, bootmaking, camp cooking, blacksmith, Civil War music, a lunch grill out and fresh lemonade.
