AREA EVENTS

Car Show and swap meet set

SELIGMAN, Mo. - A car show and swap meet is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, June 11-12, with the car show on Saturday sponsored by the Seligman Chamber of Commerce at Ruby’s event park on Missouri Highway 37 South, between Freedom Bank and Ruby’s Store.

There will be a DJ , door prizes for car entries and $50 prize money drawing for swap meet venders, as well as good bags for the first 100 visitors, car dash plaques and a $300 drawing for car entries. There is a $20 entry for early registration, $25 at the gate.

Booth rental for the two-day swap meet is $30.

Community dance

SELIGMAN, Mo. - The community dance will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at the Seligman communitybuilding. The band will be Frosty Garland and the Road Hogs. The cost is $4 for adults. No smoking or alcohol is allowed.

This dance is sponsored by the Seligman Lions Club. Funds are used to buy glasses for children and adults, or to help with other eye problems. Theclub collects used glasses, hearing aids and cell phones.

Garfield School Reunion

GARFIELD - The eighth Garfield School reunion is set for June 25-26.

From 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 25, a casual gathering will be held in the Garfield Elementary Gym, with snacks provided. Beginning at 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, June 26, the group will meet for a luncheon at the NEBCO Community Room in Garfield.

Reservations will be confirmed by sending by anRSVP, accompanied by $15 for each person attending. Please confirm by Tuesday, June 1, to ensure an accurate head count. Make checks payable to Garfield School Reunion and mail to Dorothy Williams, 13451 Ventris Rd., Garfield, AR 72732.
