Fantastic squash

From the kitchen of Dorris Mounce of Shreveport, La., grandmother of TIMES editor, Annette Beard

3 c. yellow squash

1 c. sour cream

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 bunch green onions, chopped

1 stick butter

1 8-oz. pkg. herb-seasoned dressing mix

Cook squash and drain. Add salt and pepper to taste. Combine squash, sour cream and onions. Melt butter and mix with stuffing. Line bottom of twoquart casserole dish with one-half stuffing mix. Fill dish with squash mixture. Sprinkle top with remaining stuffing. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
