New Meadowbrook Ext. Homemakers Club

President Ione Kauffeld opened the meeting by leading the club in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Karen Launderville gave the devotions based on Psalm 55:17, which invites us to pray “morning, evening and noon.” She used the illustration of a hand to help us remember who to pray for. First the thumb reminds us to pray for ourself and those closest to us, the second finger points upward to God, the thirdfinger is the tallest and reminds us to pray for the leaders, the fourth is the weakest and is for those in trouble or pain. The little finger reminds us to pray for the unnoticed. She also used the illustration of a deck of cards which remind us of Bible truths.

Roll call was answered by the three members in attendance who each told their favorite patriotic song.

The minutes were approved as read.

Kauffeld read a thank you note from the ladiesin charge of God’s Pantry.

The pantry can always use canned green beans and other vegetables and fruit, pancake mix and syrup, coffee, tea and stewed tomatoes. A box of food was donated for the pantry.

Kauffeld brought zucchini bars for the coffee break.

Landauer received a gift for her birthday.

The county fair is being held this year from Aug.

13-22. Club members are working Aug. 19.

After a good visit, the meeting was adjourned.
