Conservative Arkansas PAC formed

— A group of concerned conservative citizens in Northwest Arkansas has taken steps to form a political action committee to advocate conservative and constitutional causes at the state and national levels.

Called “Conservative Arkansas,” the group intends to identify key state and national issues of relevance to conservative citizens and to promote conservative positions on those issues. The group will work also to identify genuinely conservative candidates whose positions most match theirs, to endorse candidates and to assist them in getting elected.

Retired Brigadier General Bernie Skoch, the group’s interim executive director, made the following announcement recently:

“We come together today to represent the thousands of voters who want to look beyond partisan politics and find true solutions to the many challenges our nation faces including balancing the federal budget, shrinking the federal government, ending the practice of ‘earmarks,’ implementing a fair tax structure, instituting term limits, fixing illegal immigration and insisting on a federal government bounded by the Constitution.

“Far too much of politics has become defined by one side versus another. So called‘bi-partisanship’ has come to mean compromise. We are not coming together to promote compromise. We are coming together to promote the causes that will restore America to its place as the greatest nation in history, and we are coming together to identify and support candidates for office who truly understand the constitutional principles of limited federal government and states’ rights.”
