Store evacuated; bomb threat debunked

Customers and employees were quickly evacuated from Marvin’s IGA Friday night after the manager on duty received a telephone call from someone claiming there was a bomb and a gunman in the store. The caller demanded money. The manager reported the call to the store manager, who was not on duty at the time, and the manager called 911. Central Communications dispatched area law enforcement agencies to back up Pea Ridge police.
