PEA RIDGE — Harness and Mayes receive honors

ARKADELPHIA - Jesse Harness of Pea Ridge and Ashleigh Mayes of Gateway were named to Henderson State University’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2009 semester.

To be named to the Dean's List, a student must have achieved a 4.0 grade point average for the entire semester. To make the Honor Roll, a student must have received at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.

Billington named to President’s List

CARTHAGE, Texas - Ariel Billington, daughter of Starla and Mike Billington of Pea Ridge, was named to the President’s List at Panola College in Carthage, Texas, for thespring semester with a 3.84 grade point average.

Last semester, Billington took 19 hours of classes, in addition to playing basketball for the school.

Students named to the President’s List earned a GPA ranging from 3.8 to 4.0. According to the school, approximately five percent of students at Panola College achieve this level of academic success.
