GARFIELD — NEBCO seeks chili cooks
The NEBCO Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Chili Cook-Off is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Chili supper and pie auction
The Pea Ridge Women’s Business Association will hold a chili supper and pie auction from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Pea Ridge High School.
Proceeds go toward Pea Ridge community scholarships. Dinner - chili with fixin’s and a drink - is $5 for adults and $3 for children, 12 and under. Whole pies are auctioned after dinner. Special entertainment will be provided by Journey On. To donate pies for the auction or for more information, contact Lori Rogers at 451-0488.
Battle of Pea Ridge anniversary
The 148th anniversary of the Battle of Pea Ridge will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Pea Ridge National Military Park. Park entry fee will apply.
Pea Ridge National Military Park preserves the site of and commemorates the March 1862 Civil War battle that helped Union forces gain control of Missouri. The park is located east of Pea Ridge on U.S. Highway 62.
