— Larry Jones

Larry Melvin Jones, 54, of Rogers, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Sept. 4, 1955, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Arnold Melvin Jones and Mary Virginia Brown Jones.

He was a master jeweler and gold manufacturer for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathleen Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Jones of the home; one daughter, Thespa McLaughlin and husband, Rodney, of Rogers; three sons, Peter Jones and wife, Beverly, of Springdale, Donald Upton of Fayetteville, Robert Brumley and wife, Deseri, of Elkins; one sister; and 10 grandchildren.

Cremation was by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Robert H. Pitts

Robert Howard Pitts, Sr., 92, of St. Joseph, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 12, at his home.He was born Jan. 15, 1918, in Pea Ridge, to Charles and Phoebe (Buttram) Pitts.

He married Catherine Zuptichon Nov. 24, 1945.

He joined the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1936 and was stationed in Camp Cass, Ark. Pitts was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corps and was stationed in Europe. He also was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Pitts served in the Missouri Air National Guard at Rosecrans Field. He retired asSenior Master Sergeant in 1976, after 33 years of combined military service.

He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

Pitts enjoyed gardening, air shows, auctions and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed his retirement and sitting on his front porch.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers: Stanwix, Felix, Charles, Joe, David, Hugh and Sam.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Zuptich of the home; children: Bob Pitts, Dianna Koelliker (Terry), John Pitts (Eileen), Judith Meyer (Steven), all of St. Joseph, Mo., and Phillip Pitts (Patti) of Jefferson City, Mo.; a sister, Mrs.

Helen Arnn (Edgar) of Indianapolis, Ind.; sisters-inlaw, Mrs. Mildred Zuptich and Mrs. Rosemary Sparks, both of St. Joseph, HelenPitts of Jacksonville, Ark., and Mary Alice Pitts of Pea Ridge; grandchildren: Jesse and James Pitts, David, Sarah and Paul Worley, Kay Turner, Phillip, Andrew and Katie Pitts, and Megan, Maureen and Jeffrey Meyer; great-grandchildren: Kennadi and Alison Turner, Dominick and Delaney Worley and Olivia and Reese Pitts; and numerous nieces and nephews of the Pitts and Zuptich families.

Services were held Monday, Feb. 15, at St. James Catholic Church in St. Joseph.

Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., rosary began at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 16, at St. James Catholic Church. Father Joseph Totton was the celebrant.

Gregory Floyd Sivley

Gregory Floyd Sivley, 59, of Garfield died Feb. 6. He was born June 16, 1950, to Billy Bert and Verla June Webb Sivley.

He was a Marine Corps veteran and worked as a self-employed landscaper.

Survivors include a son, Benjamin Wade Sivley and wife, Holly, of Pea Ridge; a daughter, Philicity Valene Sivley of Bella Vista; a brother, Darryl Sivley of Garfield; and one grandchild.

Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home in Rogers.
