Bessie Lucilla Andrews

Bessie Lucilla Andrews, 85, of Colcord, Okla., died Feb. 5, 2010, in Bentonville. She was born March 5, 1924, in Avoca to the Henry and Lizzie Grimes.

Survivors include eight sons, Max Andrews and Larry Andrews and wife Vonda, all of Grove, Okla., Joe Andrews and wife Diane of Rogers, Wayne Andrews of East Siloam Springs, Carl Andrews and Harold Andrews, both of Colcord, Rick Andrews of Watts, Okla., and Edward Andrews and wife Cheri of Siloam Springs; five daughters, Pearl Powers of Pea Ridge, Betty McMahan of Colcord, Judy Adams of West Siloam Springs, Okla., Anita Stacy and husband Alan of Gentry, and Lena Pool of Jay, Okla.; 47 grandchildren; and many greatgrandchildren.

Visitation was from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Rollins Funeral Home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Tuck’s Chapel Cemetery.

Claude Van Barnes

Claude Van Barnes, 73, of Rogers died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born April 27, 1936, in Rogers, Ark., to the late Claude and Evelyn (Johnson) Barnes.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine, of the home; two daughters, Evelyn Collins of Bentonville and Claudia Marie Moppin of Pea Ridge; one son, Claude Van Barnes Jr. of Pineville, Mo.; one sister, Rosemary Gordon of Anderson, Mo.; 16 grandchildren, Ronnie Jean, Vanessa, Melissa, Abby, Amanda, Joy, Benjamin, William, James, Joshua, Memorie, Lakota, Ashley, Amanda, Joseph and Justin; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Tucks Chapel Cemetery in Rogers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Maziin Edward Bierman

Maziin Edward Bierman, infant son of Larry Raymond Bierman and Ashley Sierra Waterman of Pea Ridge was born and died Jan. 31, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers.

Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Malachi Bierman of Springdale and Caliber Bierman of Rogers; maternal grandparents, Ed Waterman and Wanda Salas of Pea Ridge; and paternal grandparents, Larry Bierman of Indiana and Betty Tacker of Alabama.

Visitation was Thursday, Feb. 4, at the funeral home.

Graveside services were at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Rogers City Cemetery, with pastor Ken Cowen officiating.

Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Billy Joe Burradell

Billy Joe Burradell, 83, of Avoca, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at his home. He was born July 8, 1926, in Picher, Okla., to Joseph Stanley and Rhoenah Elizabeth Becker Burradell.

He was a lifetime resident of this area. He was a cabinet maker and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Weston Burradell of the home; one son, Richard Burradell of Avoca; two daughters, Jorene Beaver of Rogers and Becky Hawksley of Independence, Mo.; two brothers, John Burradell of Ashland, Ala., and Jim Beaver of Aurora, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 10, at the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Roy Scates officiating.

Burial will follow in Beaver Cemetery in Beaver, Ark.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington Regional Hospice, 34 Colt Sq., Fayetteville, AR.

Loretta Mae Davis

Loretta Mae Davis, 74, of Ponder, Texas, and formerly of Rogers, died Feb. 3, 2010, at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, Texas. She was born in Rogers on Feb. 21, 1935, to William and Lula (Williams) Fry.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry Roberts and wife, Annella, of Bella Vista, Larry Roberts and wife, Lori, of Springdale, Tim Davis of Ponder, Texas, Tom Davis of Ponder, Texas; her daughter, Lana Weides and husband, Chris, of Justin, Texas; two stepdaughters; one stepson; stepbrothers, James Kelly of Avoca, Junior Kelly of Avoca; stepsister, Betty Ward of Garfield; 16 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday in the Chapel of Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Rogers, with interment following in Benton County Memorial Park.

Lawrence Leon Maloney

Lawrence Leon Maloney, 66, of Rogers, died Monday, Feb. 1, in Rogers. He was born May 6, 1943, in Garfield, to Lafe and Eliza Elizabeth Huffman Maloney.

He was a driller in the oil fields of Kansas and overseas for many years, and enjoyed fishing and reading.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Rebecca Maloney; and three brothers, Floyd Maloney, Pat Maloney and an infant, J.L. Maloney.

Survivors include his wife, Della Maloney of Rogers; a step-son Garry Epps and a step-daughter Michele Epps both of the home; four brothers, William M. Maloney of Cassville, Mo., John Maloney of Weippe, Idaho, Mike Maloney of Pea Ridge, and Cisco Maloney of Seligman; and three sisters, Dorothy Barr of Viburnum, Mo., Mary Jane Adkins of Mt. Home, Ark., and Mildred Hicks of Pea Ridge.

Visitation was 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at the funeral home.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge with the Rev. Cliff Palmer officiating.

Burial was be at Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield.

Colleen Phillips

Colleen Phillips, 63, of Rogers, died Feb. 3, 2010. She was born in Clarksville on Dec. 3, 1946, to the late Floyd “Blackie” and Orpha (Naylor) Steele.

Survivors include her sons, Travis Phillips and wife Melissa of Avoca, Todd Phillips and wife Carla of Rogers, and their father, Floyd Phillips of Rogers; sisters, Evelyn Creech of Tulsa, Okla., Iris Danley of Texarkana, Brenda Klutts of Bentonville, Vicki Rancier of Weedsport, New York; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service is set for 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, in the Chapel of Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Rogers.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

Cremation arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home, 408 W. Walnut St. in downtown Rogers.
