GARFIELD — NEBCO chili cook-off
GARFIELD - The NEBCO Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Chili Cook-Off fund raiser is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children 5-12 and free for children under 5.
Enjoy the chili and vote for your favorite for the People’s Choice Award. Dinner is served in the NEBCO Community Center, 17823 Marshall St. (U.S. Highway 62), in Garfield. Teams to compete, as well as sponsors of teams may call NEBCO at 359-3134 for more information.
Quilters gather
BUNKER HILL, Mo. - The Bunker Hill Community Club is busy quilting for ladies in the area, working on items for the next quilt show in May, and planning the next lunch on the square which will be Feb. 22. Interested persons are invited to join the group at the community center to quilt or do other handwork or just to visit each Thursday of the month starting at 10 a.m.
