THE TIMES LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Grateful for support

Many of our friends and customers have heard of the motorcycle accident with a deer that my husband and I had in November.

Since being air-flighted to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Mo., with serious injuries, Jim Sigmon has progressed from nonresponsive in ICU to working hard in rehab today.

We have had every prayer request concerning his health and recovery answered day after day as we break his recovery down into 24-hour, bite-sized pieces.

Many of you have prayed for him, supported our family, visited us and given us breaks from the 24/7 watch we must do since Jim incurred a moderate to severe brain injury, among other injuries, in the accident. We are very grateful for every one of you and for each gift of prayer, encouragement and support you have given.

Jim’s residential general construction business is being carried on for us by faithful employees during this time. I wanted to encourage any and all of Jim’s customers not to hesitate to call either our home or Jim’s phone, which I keep with me, if you still have work you would like for him to do.

He obviously will not be involved in the actual labor at this time, but our employees have been welltrained and are keeping the business going as long as work continues to come in.

If you are a prior or current (or new!) customer of our business and want to do something to help us out, this would be the one thing I would ask. Just keep calling in with any work you need done. We can continue to serve you in our businessuntil Jim can get back on his feet. Thank you for continuing to consider us when you have a construction need.

We are trusting in the faithfulness of the God we serve for Jim’s complete recovery. His hand on our lives has been evident since our motorcycle first hit the ground. Ask us about it all some time. We’ll be glad to tell our story.

CINDY SIGMON Rogers, Ark.
