Man hospitalized after stabbing

— An altercation among family members sent one man to jail and another to the hospital Sunday in Little Flock.

Frank Marquez-Martinez, 20, of 2900 N. Dixieland Rd., in Rogers, was arrested Sunday in connection with aggravated residential burglary and felony first-degree battery.

Little Flock officers were called to a disturbance at the Fairways Apartment Complex, 2900 N. Dixieland Rd., at approximately 4 a.m.

Paulino “Pablo” Mejia had been stabbed several times by a relative, later determined to be Marquez-Martinez, according Little Flock Police Chief Justin McCarver.

Mejia was taken by ambulance to Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville and admitted in critical condition,according to police. His condition was later upgraded to stable, police said.

McCarver said the incident showed no signs of being gang related, but is believed to be a family dispute that escalated.

Marquez-Martinez was being held Monday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set. McCarver said Marquez-Martinez also has a hold placed on him by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
