Lloyd Glenn Clark

Lloyd Glenn Clark, 83, died Dec. 6, 2010. He was born Sept. 5, 1927, to Oscar andMattie Clark of Wolf Bayou, Ark.

Clark served his country in the Navy during World WarII. After his tour of duty, he returned to Arkansas. He began his career at Shefteld Steel Inc. in Kansas City, Mo., and later worked with Sapulpa Tank in Sapulpa, Okla. He started his own business in Harrison, Ark., and finally settled in Springdale, Ark., founding NWA Steel in 1961, which he still operated at the time of his death.

Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Sue Clark Shrum and her husband, Steve, of Southlake, Texas, and Glenda Kay Clark Hollis and husband, Tim, of Garfield, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Louie Clark of Heber Springs, Ark.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Freeman officiating.

Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Wolf Bayou, Ark.

Doris Elaine Friesen

Doris Elaine Friesen, 73, of Garfield, Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at Circle of Lifein Springdale. She was born July 12, 1937, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Carl Kim and Lynda Buller Kim.

She attended Buhler High School and went on to Dodge City Community College and completed her degree in social work at St. Mary’s of the Plains College in Dodge City, Kan. She was employed by Arrowhead West, a facility for individuals with mental and physical disabilities, in marketing and fundraising. She was a member and served as president of Soroptomist Club in Dodge City.

Friesen was a committed Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Garfield. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband Earl Friesen, whom she married Oct. 29, 1955; two sons, Dr. Douglas Friesen and wife Lisa of Rogers, Ark., Steve Friesen and wife Jodi of Yukon, Okla.; one sister, Dwala Smith and husband Vernon of Yreka, Calif.; three grandsons, John Friesen and wife Emily of Bentonville, Ark., Jason Friesen and wife Chelsea of Bentonville, Ark., Brian Friesen of Dallas, Texas; one granddaughter, Amanda Estep and husband Jeremy of Calumet, Okla.;

and two great-grandsons, Owen Friesen and Jagger Estep.

Memorials may be made in honor of Doris Friesen to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, AR72762.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Stockdale Funeral Services, 2898 W. Walnut, Rogers, Ark.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Garfield with pastors Jack Maddox and Benny Thompson officiating.

Burial was in the Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield, Ark.

Thomas Vincent Herriage Sr.

Thomas Vincent Herriage Sr., 90, of Bentonville died Dec. 7, 2010, at the Circle ofLife Hospice at Legacy Village in Bentonville.

He was born March 16, 1920, in Emory, Texas, to Roxie Viola Bassand Thomas Jeans Jefferson Herriage.

He started work as an accountant while in the Army.

Survivors include three daughters, Marjorie K. Boyer and husband, Dave, of Garfield, Elaine M. Herriage Gammill of Frisco, Texas, and Mary Jo Herriage Keske and husband, Walter, of Arvada, Colo.; three sons, Thomas V.

Herriage Jr. and wife, Kate, of Atchison, Kan., Jonn E. Herriage and wife, Sue, of Olathe, Kan., and Michael J. Herriage and wife, Helen, of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; a sister;

a brother; 17 grandchildren;

and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral mass was be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St.

Stephen Catholic Church in Bentonville.

Burial was in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville.

Arrangements were by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.

Millard Jarnagan

Millard Jarnagan, 71, of Rogers died Dec. 9, 2010, at home. He was born Feb.

12, 1939, in Hazel Valley to Millard and Floy Skelton Jarnagan.

He was a member of the Samaritan House Fellowship Church in Rogers and worked as a tin smith.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; four sons, Barry Jarnagan and wife, Kim, of Gentry, Tim Reeves of Dallas, Texas, Brian Jarnagan and wife, Debbie, of Gateway, and Carey Reeves and wife, Marsha, of Bella Vista; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at Benton County Memorial Park.

Joan E. Kutch

Joan E. Kutch, 92, of Avoca died Dec. 8, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers.

She was born Dec. 22, 1917, in Aurora, Mo., to Thomas and Golda Young Ford.

Survivors include a son, Michael Ford of Rogers; a grandchild; and five greatgrandchildren.

Burial will be private in Fayetteville National Cemetery.

Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.

James M. Lehr

James M. “Dutch” Lehr, 94, died Dec. 5, 2010, in Bentonville. He was born Aug.

11, 1916, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Frank and Bertha (Stebbins) Lehr.

He was a resident of Washburn,Mo., for the past year and resided in Holiday Island, Ark., for 29 years.

Lehr served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked as the director of meat operations for Nash-Finch Company. He was a Paul Harris member of Rotary, member of Holiday Island Elks Club, former commissioner at Holiday Island, served on the Holiday Island Fire Department, a former treasurer of the Eureka Springs Hospital, attended the Holiday Island Community Church and an avid golfer.

On April 12, 1936, he was united in marriage with JoAnne (Ricks) Lehr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bertha Lehr; one son; four brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnne Lehr, of the home; a son, Richard Todd Lehr and wife, Lavon, of Washburn, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren;

numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at Holiday Island Community Church, with the Rev. Alan Thrasher officiating.

Interment was in Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, Ark.

Arrangements were under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service Inc.

Loyce Lindley

Loyce Eugenia Lindley, 78, of Bentonville died Monday Dec. 6, 2010 at her home. Shewas born April 21, 1932 at Carolan, Ark., to William R. Parish and Rosa Maye Carolan Parish.

She married JoeLindley Oct. 11, 1980.

Mrs. Lindley loved to read, travel, quilt, Bible study and her church. She was a member of the Booneville Running Club and First Baptist Church of Centerton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Rufus L. Parish, and a grandson, Aaron Nelson.

Survivors include her husband, Joe, of the home; three sons, Michael Nelson and his wife, Ellen, of Rogers, William Nelson of Little Rock, Charles Lindley and his wife, Lew Ann, of Cave Springs, Ar.; two daughters, Toni Ferguson and her husband, Jerry, of Springdale, Ar., Marguerite Lindley of Sturgis, S.D.;

two brothers, William Parish and his wife, Jo, of Booneville, Charles Parish and his wife, Alma, of Ft. Smith; one sister, Alice Shireman andher husband, William, of Hot Springs; a sister-in-law, Mary Parish of Rogers.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Sisco Funeral Home, Pea Ridge.

Service was at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at First Baptist Church in Centerton with pastors Stuart Bell and Cliff Palmer officiating.

Burial was be at the VA National Cemetery in Fayetteville.

Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Opal Patterson, 92, died Dec. 7, 2010, at Mercy Medical Hospital. She was born Nov. 24, 1918, to John and Flo (Morgan) Arnold in Benton County, Ark.

She was a long time resident of Bentonville, Ark., where she retired from the poultry plant. She worked 20 years for the Rose Child Care Center. Her heart and her home were always open.

She was an active member of Corner Stone Baptist Church. Her hobbies included her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hamilton Patterson; one daughter, Lula Mae Palmer; two granddaughters, Kristy Bakema and Tanisha Brenner; one sister; and five brothers.

Survivors include a son, Leonard Patterson and his wife, Ivy, of Pea Ridge; two daughters, Kay Cline of Bentonville and Mae Etta Hickman of Pea Ridge; nine grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren; and 20 greatgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, J.C. Arnold and his wife, Neva, of Washburn, Mo., and Clyde Arnold and his wife, Teresa, of Pea Ridge; and two sisters-in-law, Eula Faye Arnold and Pauline Arnold.

Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Central St., Bentonville, Ark.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at Corner Stone Baptist Church, Bentonville, Ark.

Burial was in Buttram’s Chapel Cemetery, Lee Town Road, Pea Ridge.

Pamela Jayne Rogers

Pamela Jayne Rogers, 48, of Rogers, Ark., died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, in Rogers. She was born April 20, 1962, in Rogers, Ark., to Clarencie and Gladys Reynolds Taylor.

She worked as a CNA for Regency Hospital. She was a proud Army mom and a very proud Nana.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Clarencie and Terry Taylor of Rogers, Ark.; her mother, Gladys Birlew of Rogers, Ark.; two sons, Gary Russell of Jonesboro, Ark., and Joshua Harnishfeger of Centerton, Ark.;

a daughter, Khrystel Cobb ofRogers, Ark.; four brothers, David Taylor of Bentonville, Ark., Steve Taylor of Garfield, Ark., Kevin Taylor of Rogers, Ark., and Danny Taylor of Bentonville, Ark.; three stepbrothers, Herbert Wayne Williams of Bella Vista, Ark., Billy Williams of Rogers, Ark., and Randy Williams of Rogers, Ark.; one sister, Kathy Lawson of Bentonville, Ark.; and six grandchildren.

Visitation was from 6 p.m.

to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.

A committal service was at noon Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the care of Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.

Miste Scarpinatto

Miste Scarpinatto, 33, of Rogers, Ark., died Dec. 5, 2010, at her home. She was born Nov. 21, 1977, to Tony and Debbie Scarpinatto, in Shreveport, La.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tony Scarpinatto; and her grandparents.

Survivors include her mother, Debbie Scarpinatto;

grandparents, Billy and Delores Riley; two step-sisters, Nikki and Annette; and Ronald Bowman.

Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Dec. 11, 2010, at the New Life Church in Pea Ridge.

Cremation was under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home.

Bobby Lee Setser

Bobby Lee Setser, 65, of Garfield, died Saturday, Dec. 11, at his home. He was bornJan. 16, 1946, to Orval and Dell Hamilton Setser in Gravette.

He lived his entire life in Benton County,attending elementary school in Gravette and graduating from Bentonville High School in 1964. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Benton County Road Department, McClinton Anchor, Wilks Construction Company, and owned his own dump truck at one time. He also worked as a diesel mechanic and welder for McClarty Truck Leasing (Shipley Motor Company) that evolved into a traveling parts salesman/consultant. He ended his salesman/consulting career at Johnson Truck and Trailer and later retired from Tucks Chapel Lawnmower shop.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother James (Jr.) Setser; and his father-in-law, Billy Benton Hollaway.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hollaway Setser, of the home; two daughters, Michelle Setser Dye and husband, John, and Melita Setser, all of Garfield; granddaughters, Taylor and Faith, of Garfield; his mother-inlaw, Kathalene Hollaway, of Garfield; a brother, Dean Setser and his wife, Linda; a sister, Marge Gentry and her husband, Pratt, all of Avoca;

five nieces; two nephews;

several great-nieces and nephews; a great-great nephew, Mason Huempfner; his buddy, Chris McKenzie;

and a very caring physician and friend, Dr. Gary Neaville.

Visitation as from 5:50 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec.

13, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Bayless Cemetery, with Frankie Sutherland officiating at Setser’s request.

Pallbearers were his nephew, Rusty Setser, greatnephew, Josh Huempfner, and longtime friends, Bill Watson, Ronnie Austin, Larry Mills and Marty Seamster.

Honorary pallbearers were his nephew, James Setser, great-great nephew Mason Huempfner and special friends Chris and Clarence McKenzie, James Layes and Dr. Gary Neaville.
