Applesauce muffins

— From the kitchen of Linda Whitaker These muffins make a wonderful easy breakfast during the holidays.

1/2 c. butter, soft

1/2 c. sugar

2 eggs

3/4 c. applesauce

1 3/4 c. flour

1 Tbsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 c. butter, melted

1/2 c. sugar

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter in sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time.

Add applesauce. Stir together dry ingredients. Add to wet mixture. Put in well-greased muffin cups. Bake about 15 minutes at 425. Combine melted butter, sugar and cinnamon and dip warm muffins into topping.

(Can add raisins, if desired.)
