Halloween Nightmare BY COURTNEY FORD, Fifth place Trick-or-treators everywhere Dressed in costumes from head to toe Here they are haunting the night They pull pranks and beg for your candy Stalking them as they depart With your candy in their little bags Examining their frightful costumes Just some kids in some clothes, or is it Maybe they’re really demonic creatures Maybe they will engulf your warm red blood Maybe they will cast some enchantments Maybe they will abduct that final breath of yours You are convinced that they aren’t But deep down you really know the truth Deep down you’re rattling with horror Like a little girl in the lightless twilight You hear a piercing scream from an unknown source A moment later you realize that shriek came from within you Your instincts are summoned and you start to race away But why aren’t you propelling forward You distinguish a mysterious being He’s imprisoning you in his disfigured arms Then you see his gang of freaks They are definitely NOT human Then you see the raz
