Teresa Brunell of Seligman, Mo., and Jeff Brunell of Yates Center, Kan., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Vanessa Marie Brunell to David Michael Burkett, Jr.
Burkett is the son of Mary Brown of Pea Ridge and David and Melissa Burkett of Seligman, Mo.
Brunell is a 2006 graduate of Stillwell High School in Oklahoma. She is a student at Crowder College in Cassville, Mo., and plans to transfer to Cameron University in Lawton, Okla.
Burkett is a 2007 graduate of Southwest High School in Missouri and is stationed at Fort Sill, Okla., with the United States Army.
The couple plans to wed Thursday, Aug. 19, at Roaring River State Park, and plan to reside in Fletcher, Okla.
