PEA RIDGE — Second- and third-grade football players ran and tackled as well as caught and threw footballs during try-outs Saturday morning before being fitted with shoulder pads and helmets.
Dickie Winn carefully fitted the players with helmets. Winn said there are 182 children playing in the Pea Ridge Youth Football League in second through sixth grades.
