Earl Wayne Boen

Earl Wayne Boen, 61, of Garfield died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at his home. He was born Nov. 26, 1948, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Darrell Albert and Modena (Wilks) Boen.

He was a veteran, serving in the Marines during the Vietnam era. He was a lifetime member of the DAV Chapter 53 and American Legion Post 100, also serving on their honor guard.

He was active in the Democratic Party, and served as an election sheriff in Avoca.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Edward Boen.

Survivors include hiswife, JoAnn of the home;

one son, Earl Boen of Rolla, Mo.; one daughter, Melissa Boen of the home; one brother, Richard Boen of Garfield; one sister, Janette Bell of Pea Ridge; and one grandson, Nick Bailey of the home.

Services were held Saturday, July 31, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Conrad Dove

Conrad Dove, 51, of Garfield, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at his home after a 21/2 year battle with cancer. He was born Aug.

24, 1958, in Wichita, Kan., to Robert Lee Dove and Bernice Lorrane Hoffman Dove.

He was owner and operator of Striper Excitement Guide Service in Garfield and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.

Survivors include his wife, Janine Dove, of the home; one son, Dusty Dove, of Garfield; and one daughter, Malory Dove, of Garfield; his parents, of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Bobby Dove, of Rose Hill, Kan.; three sisters, Dina Dove of Columbus, Kan., Sonja Dove and her husband, Jack Ostberg,and Gaylin Kotara, all of Wichita, Kan.; five nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces.

Cremation arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Aug. 1, at First Baptist Church in Garfield.

Harold Franklin Partlo

Harold Franklin Partlo, 78, of Gentry died July 29, 2010, at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla. He was born Aug. 18, 1931, in Mamie, Mich., to Harvey and Sylvia Aba Partlo.

He was a retired plumber for Bears Rooter. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He married Bernice Elliott in Ypsilanti, Mich., in 1952. They lived in Glendale, Calif., for 31 years before moving to Gentry 13 years ago.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Partlo.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Barbara Partlo of Burbank, Calif., and Belinda Ward of Pea Ridge; two grandchildren;

two brothers; and a number of nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time.

Christopher Allen Rice

Christopher Allen “Chris” Rice, 41, of Bentonville died Saturday, July 31.

He was born Aug. 19, 1968, in Hurst, Texas, to William Miles Rice and Lois Norris Rice.

He worked for All-Weather Heating and Air Conditioning as an installer. He was fun-loving and adventuresome, yet was a serious,hard worker. Rice was also a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. He loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, and one brother.

Survivors include two sons, Levi Rice and Kennan Rice, both of Washburn, Mo.; his mother, Lois Rice of Bentonville; five brothers, Roy Rice of Azle, Texas, Kenneth Rice of Elm Springs, Larry Rice and Robert Rice, both of Bentonville, and Curt Rice of Garfield; two sisters, Connie Scroggins of Rogers and Janet Carpenter of Jay, Okla.; two nieces, Angel Slinkard and Misty Underwood; and one grandson.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at Bentonville Cemetery in Bentonville with pastor John Dean officiating.

Arrangements were by Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers.

Jessica L. Rippa

Jessica L. Rippa, 18, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at her home.

She was born Dec. 20, 1991 in Tucson, Ariz., to Michael Rippa and Hillrie Lowery.

She played soccer and loved art. Her hobbies were scrapbooking, beading and listening to music.

Survivors include her father, Michael Rippa of Camp Verde, Ariz.; mother, Hillrie Romero of Rogers, Ark.; step-father, Edward Romero of Wynne, Ark.;

paternal grandparents, John Michael and Mary Lea Rippa of Las Vegas, Nev.;

maternal grandmother, Linda Pruitt of Rogers, Ark.;

a brother, Edward Romero of Avoca, Ark.; and two sisters, Meagan Harris and Elizabeth Romero, both of Avoca, Ark.

A memorial service is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug.

7, 2010, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.

John Leslie Roschevitz

John Leslie Roschevitz, 59, of Pea Ridge, died Tuesday, July 27, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born June 5, 1951, in Wheaton, Mo., to Edward and Audrey Gundel Roschevitz.

Roschevitz was raised in the loving home of Clifford and Freda Roschevitz in Stella, Mo., for many years.

He graduated from East Newton High School in 1969. He lived most of his adult life in the Pea Ridge area where he had a host of special friends, neighbors and business associates. He generously helped many people in northwest Arkansas without ever expecting anything in return.

He owned and operated Tri-City Construction for 25 years. He was also a mechanical contractor and a master auto technician.

His passion for fast cars led him into the racing circuit at a very young age. He built and raced all of his own cars, from stock to dragsters. He also loved to restore and customize vintage automobiles. He took great pride in his work and it showed.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Roschevitz.

Survivors include two brothers, Clifford Roschevitz and his wife, Freda, of Rocky Comfort, Mo., and Steve Roschevitz of Washington; four sisters, Jo-Ann Giurato of Stockton, Calif., Kathy Bell of Bella Vista, Shirley Roschevitz of Rancho Cordova, Calif., and Linda Sanders of Stark City, Mo.; and special nieces and nephews Markeeta Harvey and her husband, Roger, Faron Roschevitz and his wife, Rhonda, Rachel Sanders, Derek Sanders, Coty Roschevitz, Kaily Harvey and Joanna Bell.

A memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Sisco Funeral Home at Pea Ridge.

Betty Swigart

Betty Elaine Swigart, 65, of Coffeyville, Kan. died, July 26, 2010, at the Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha. She was born Nov. 16, 1944, in Gravity, Iowa, to Ralph Oren and VaDonna Pearle (Lucas) Price.

She grew up and attended school in Gravity and Bedford, Iowa. After graduating from high school, she attended Barnes Beauty College in Council Bluff, Iowa.

On July 4, 1964, she married Keith Swigart in Gravity, Iowa. Following their marriage they lived in Seligman, Mo., and Rogers until they retired and moved to Coffeyville six years ago.

She operated a beauty shop for many years, was a department manager for Wal-Mart, and did secretarial work at S & W Sales after moving to Coffeyville. She was a member of Grace Fellowship in Coffeyville.

She enjoyed working puzzles, crocheting, ceramics, car racing, camping and fishing.

Survivors include her husband, Keith, of the home; one daughter, Sonja Wells of Coffeyville; two sons, Marty Swigart of Garfield and Michael Swigart of Seligman, Mo.; three sisters, Karen Akers of St.

Joseph, Mo., Marilyn Leek of Indianola, Iowa, and Barbara Elder of Agency, Mo.; four brothers, Richard Price of Corning, Iowa, Robert Price of Seligman, Mo., Alan Price of Pleasant Valley, Minn., and Bryan Price of Jefferson, Iowa;

nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were Friday, July 30, at Grace Fellowship with the Rev. Gerald Morris officiating.

Burial was in Restlawn Memorial Park in Coffeyville.

C. Mitchell Webb

C. Mitchell Webb, 96, a lifetime resident of Pea Ridge, died July 27, 2010,at Bradford House Nursing Center in Bentonville. He was born Oct. 13, 1913, near Seligman, Mo .,to Ernest Webb and Jenny Pearl Mitchell Webb.

He grew up near Pea Ridge. In the early 1930s, he was co-owner of the Jacket General Store at Jacket, Mo. He was a successful dairy farmer and later raised stock cattle.

He served 20 years on the Board of Directors of Arvest Bank in Pea Ridge, served several years as Justice of the Peace with the Benton County Quorum Court, and on the Benton County Soil and Water Conservation District Board.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge where he served many years as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Roller Webb;

and a sister, Ora Wood.

Survivors include his brother, Olen Webb and his wife, Joan, of Rogers; his sister, Mary Lou Rakes and her husband, Richard, of San Antonio, Texas; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services were Saturday, July 31, at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with pastor Rick Booyer officiating.

Burial was at Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
