PEA RIDGE — Pea Ridge Classic
The 17th annual Pea Ridge Golf Classic is set for Saturday, Aug. 14, at Big Sugar Golf Club in Pea Ridge sponsored by the Pea Ridge Optimist Club. It will begin with a four-man scramble with a shot-gun start at 8 a.m.
Participants must be 21 years or older to play. Entry fee is $60 per person, which includes breakfast from 7 to 8 a.m., lunch, beverages, prizes for twoplaces in three flights, prizes for the longest drive, longest putt and closest to the hole, registration goodie bag and free range balls from 6:30 to 8 a.m.
A skills challenge will be Friday night at 6 p.m. with a $20 entry fee, including a 130-yard closest to hole, putt and long drive contest.
Deadline for registration is Aug. 7, and space is limited to 36 teams. For more information, contact Justin Bradford at 841-7800.
VFW Tourney
Pea Ridge VFW Post 8109 will hold a golf tournament starting at 5 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 9, at Big Sugar Golf Course in Pea Ridge.
The nine hole four-man scramble will benefit the VFW’s community projects. Cost is $30 per person. Donations and volunteers are being sought.
