What are your plans after high school?

Have you received scholarship offers? I plan to attend Arkansas Tech University. Overall, I have been offered over $250,000, but to Tech I have an honors scholarship and a band scholarship.

What activities are you involved in at school? High school band, National Honor Society, FCCLA, FCA, Gifted and Talented, volunteer daily at Pea Ridge Primary School, high school Jazz Band and a Senior Mentor.

What activities/hobbies outside school do you enjoy? Leading church choir, teaching children’s church, working with children in general, practicing my flute and piano, reading and spending time with family and friends.

The thing I’ll miss most about high school after graduation is: The simplicity of life in high school. No bills to pay, no large, life-changing decisions and reliance on parents that make life secure and easy.

One person that has influenced me and left a lasting mark on my life so far is: I can’t choose one, there have been so many. My teachers at Pea Ridge have taught me not only facts and theories, but have taught me to respect, to care and the importance of being equipped with knowledge you will need to succeed in life. They have taught me so much that I hope to grow up and become exactly like them.

When I grow up, I want to be: A teacher.

I’ve also received a $1,000 art scholarship.

What activities are you involved in at school? I’m in the marching band’s color guard, the concert band, SEEK and National Honor Society.

What activities/hobbies outside school do you enjoy? I read, draw, paint, a little bit of gardening and I work at a restaurant.

The thing I’ll miss most about high school after graduation is: My AP art classes! Fun times!

One person that has influenced me and left a lasting mark on my life so far is: Mr. (Joe) Stewart. It was in his art classes that I learned my potential as an artist.

When I grow up, I want to be: An artist.
