Senior Jenny Small Pitcher

— What position do you play? This year I’m the pitcher.

How long have you played softball? Six or seven years.

What other sports do you play? I run track, usually the 400, 800 or 4x800 relay.

Where are you from? Here, Pea Ridge.

What are your plans after high school? Go to college and get a nursing degree, probably NWACC.

What do you have planned for the summer? Not much, I’ll probably spend a lot of time at my grandparents house, they have horses. We’ll probably train some horses. I might take a college class, get my algebra out of the way.

What is the hardest team you guys have played or will play this season? Probably Farmington. They are really good, built up and consistent. Last year they were number one in the district, they are a strong team.

Do you have any pregame rituals? I have a sock with a hole in it, I always make sure it’s on my right foot.

Finish this sentence: Softball has taught me ... To work through situations that I don’t necessarily want to be in, not to just give up so easily. Perseverance, I guess.
